December 6

A sunny morning, but winds blowing in from the Atlantic. The kids liked watching the horses come up to the fence. Aaron & Daniel went out to see them up close. Silas asked, "Do horses like carrots?" and has asked the same question almost every day since.

Happy baby for sleeping only half the night and crying the other half. We are still SO off schedule! I couldn't sleep from 12:00am to 6:00am, then slept until noon along with the rest of the family. The boys were awake at midnight yelling, "Is it wake-up time?" We had an hour long snack then they went back to bed at 1:00am!

A rainbow :)

Bundled up for an afternoon of exploring Oranmore - our "village" just outside of Galway

Our air shipment hasn't come yet, so the kids are without carseats. The boys being silly in the car - they couldn't see much out of the windows without their seats. They'll be as glad as I'll be when they arrive!

Our outing. This is a two-lane road - driving on the left. Narrow roads turn into one-lane at random, and the speed limits are really fast for the conditions. Most intersections are roundabouts. I don't think I'll be driving much this year!

Ardfry House across Galway Bay just about 2 miles from our house.

Ardfry House - built in 1770, home of the Earls of Wallscourt. 200 years later it appeared in a Paul Newman movie.

May have been a good Christmas picture if it weren't so windy (check out my hair!)...and if I would have showered or put on make-up...Since we woke up in the middle of the day, we only had a little daylight left to do our sightseeing for today - personal hygiene is so overrated

Oranmore Castle. The beaches in this area appear to be seaweed :)
